Katia and Marielle Labeque introduced us to Madonna during her holidays in the Basque Country in the summer of 2011.
Her interest in our culture and our music was immediate and it’s with a disarming simplicity that she tried our txalaparta and learned some words in euskara.
We felt the same respect from her during the workshop and throughout the preparation of the MDNA Tour 2012.
She liked most of the songs and arrangements that we presented then and she decided to sing some words in our language all over the world.
